Wellington Airport Pick-up Instructions

 


 

Thank you for booking with us. If you are flying in or out of Wellington International or Domestic Airport, please see the relevant section of this document for your pickup and dropoff information.

Shuttle information for Vehicle Pickup

Wellington Airport Pickup Procedures (8:00am to 6:00pm)

Simply call us when you are ready for pick up on 0800 00 11 10 (you can call our toll free number from a pay phone if needed. Ask the airport staff for the nearest pay phone) or +64 21 688 814 and proceed to the nearest collection area for pickup.

  • Domestic & International arrivals - Our pickup location is located downstairs on level 0. With the luggage carousel behind you exit Door G and turn right. Walk 100 meters and the Pre-Charter pickup area is signposted (above picture).

  • Please wait for us in the designated pickup area, or inside the terminal, if the weather is unfavourable. The drove to the branch where your vehicle is located, is approximately 5 minutes away.

Wellington Airport Afterhours Pickup Procedures (6:00pm to 8:00am)

We use ‘Windy Depot’ for our Wellington Airport Afterhours Pick-up Service

  • After collecting your luggage at Wellington Airport, on the ground floor. Make your way back upstairs then call Windy Depot at +64 27 837 4372 to request a shuttle pickup.

  • The shuttle van will meet you on the top floor outside the terminal, on the median strip. Look for the Windy Depot van (as shown on the map).

  • The driver will take you to the Windy Depot facility located at 19 Shelly Bay Road, Miramar, Wellington, where the team will check you in.

Shuttle information for Vehicle Dropoff

Wellington Airport Dropoff Procedures (8am to 6pm)

Drive your car to our Branch situated at 17 Shelly Bay Road, Miramar, Wellington which is 1.7kms from the Terminal.

  • As our airport depot is not always manned please call us on 0800 00 11 10 or +64 21 688 814 thirty minutes before your arrival. One of our friendly staff will check-in your vehicle, sort the paperwork and documentation.

  • We will then take you to your departure terminal by using our Hire Vehicle Transfer Shuttle.

Wellington Airport Afterhours Dropoff Procedures (6pm to 8am)

We use ‘Windy Depot’ for our Wellington Airport Afterhours Drop-off Service.

  • Call Ahead: Ten minutes before arriving at Windy Depot, call +64 27 837 4372.

  • Vehicle Drop-Off: Return the vehicle to Windy Depot at 19 Shelly Bay Road, Miramar, Wellington.

  • Shuttle Transfer: The shuttle will transport you to the terminal, which is approximately a 5-minute drive away.

All customers should take note of the following Drop-off Information

  • Please allow at least 60 minutes before your required flight check-in so we can get you to the Terminal in good time.

  • If your drop off time is at 8am or earlier, we strongly advise that you use our After Hours Drop Off Service to ensure you don’t miss your flight.

  • If you have considerable luggage and/or many passengers, you may wish to drop them off at the Airport before returning the vehicle.

  • Please ensure the fuel tank of the vehicle is full, in order to avoid a refuelling charge of $50 (in addition to the actual fuel cost). This cost will be charged to your credit card at the time of return. The nearest gas station is Z Broadway, Cnr of Calabar Road & Broadway, Strathmore Park.

  • Other additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned in an unacceptable condition.

  • Please note that until such time as the vehicle is collected from Windy Depot and returned to our Branch and checked in, you are responsible for the vehicle.

ADDITIONAL FEES
Should you park the vehicle anywhere other than in accordance with these procedures there will be a $150.00 fee in addition to any other direct costs such as parking charges, towing fees and collection of keys etc. relating to the recovery of the vehicle.  This cost will be on-charged to your credit card.

FUEL POLICY
You, the customer/hirer are responsible to pay for all petrol or diesel used in the vehicle during the period. You are also required to refuel the vehicle immediately prior to return. It is useful to maintain receipts to avoid refuelling charges.
